COMMENTS: Starting in 2002 interest in all Spanish locations went into
decline but now seem to have bottomed out.
During 2007 the most sought-after location is Mallorca, with less interest in Menorca.
Close in second place is North Costa Blanca (Moraira, Javea and Denia).
Then Costa del Sol (west of Malaga) but the Nerja area still
struggling, followed by the Canaries and Costa Brava.

VillaServers (Villa Holiday Services), with offices in Moraira, have been
established for more than 2 decades and are registered as a Tourist Rental
and Service Agency by the Valencia Tourist Authority.
COMMENTS: There seems to have been a general decline in tourist visitors to
this area since around 2000, probably caused by
competition from other resorts in Spain and elsewhere.
Summer 2007 results indicate that
the decline has finally levelled out with considerable interest in better
quality properties.

Moraira Homefinders | Property for Sale in the
Moraira area. Holiday,

COMMENTS:
Property values rose sharply until around 2004, when they started to fall,
probably caused by the building boom and competition from other areas of
Spain.
There is now a significant surplus of resale property. Moraira itself
is fairly well built up and there are very few plots available for new
buildings.
In recent weeks there has been an upsurge of interest but sales are slow.
New buyers seem very price conscious and it would appear that the vendors
will have to make price adjustments before any number of sales are made.

COMMENTS: Enquiries for Spain fell slightly during 2007 with an increase
in interest for Bulgaria and USA. Costa Blanca North (normally the top
Spanish destination) has lost ground to other areas and fallen to 2nd
place after the Balearic Islands (whose popularity remained about the
same).

COMMENTS: I don't think is as bad as people are making out, yes - prices
has dropped and panic selling has contributed to that in my area, but
Spain has supposed to have enjoyed record tourist levels this year with
the bad weather the UK endured making Spain the second most visited

I think personally that potential buyers understand the situation in Spain
and are simply sitting back until the right time and right property comes
along.

COMMENTS: I have seen a strong dip in the market for some time with sales
falling . My UK exhibitions dropped to the point of only a very small
amount of clients even turning up.
We have always had most interest in the Murcia regions Coastal, Los

COMMENTS: Valencia is undergoing a similar transformation to the one

So far investors in the area are predominantly Spanish, but foreign
professionals are beginning to get interested in Valencia as a markedly
cheaper alternative to Barcelona.
For individual buyers, investing in a property in Valencia is attractive
as well. Prices are still on the rise, which is no longer the case in
Madrid and Barcelona.

COMMENTS: Despite increasing our portfolio in Spain with the addition of
villas around Pollensa we have seen a steady decline in interest over the
last 2 to 3 years despite the fact that website hits for Spain are running
at an all time high.
This shows that there's still plenty of interest but perhaps the customers
use our sites for info and to compare prices before buying direct from
owners.
It's very similar to our experiences in Florida around Orlando where the
market was (and still is) flooded with UK owned villas at
highly discounted rates.
Best areas for 2007 have been France and Italy including the islands and
Portugal remains strong.
